12/12/12 Lucky or Unlucky?

12/12/12 A unique day many of us waited for over some period time. It was certainly highlighted on my calendar since 10/101/10, then came 11/11/11. I thought they were all unique. It certainly will be a long time before such numbers come around again, it almost assures we will not be around to have to witness or experience it.

With this day mark 13 days left before Christmas. Many of us are into the holiday spirit and enjoying ourselves. Some of us are shopping, enjoying family and sight seeing of the beautiful Christmas lights, parks and holiday functions. I use it as a reflection day, to look back on they year that has passed us by and wonder if next year will be a better year. We can only hope and pray for the best as we navigate to the end of this year.

As for now I will continue my journey to make this Christmas as wonderful as one could for his family. I would love to see big smiles on my children's face, as well as my wife, that would be the most exciting moment of this holiday. For the kids gifts bring them joy at this time of year and joy is what I promise to deliver.

Do You Favor One Child More Than The Other(s)?

 
I am a father, a proud father and I know that I love both of my children the same. However, my wife tends to beg to differ. She always accuses me of favoritism of one more than the other. I told her it's not true and honestly it is not the case.


My son talks and interact with me more, if he needs something he asks for it. My daughter on the other hand never asks for anything but she adores me just as much as I adore her. They are two loving children, they are my kids and I love them the same. We often go fishing , play on the park and take long walks together. Weekends are often game nights, it's the time we get to play games and spend quality time as a family. 


I am sure some parents probably do have favorites but this is something I could or would never do, I LOVE both of them the same. The greatest joy is having them around me and waking up each morning and seeing their beautiful faces. There are absolutely NO favoritism's, my love is real, my love is unique but, most of all I love them equally.

Hurricane Sandy, Passing The Down Time

As hurricane Sandy travels across the east coastline many are bored at home or in a shelter, waiting out the storm. Most homes are out of electricity making it difficult to play an electronic game, to get online or watch TV.

The best fun things to do is play a board game, sing, hop scotch in a garage or any spacious area inside a protected building. With much down time allows the children to become bored and restless. So make it fun by entertaining them with many different fun things.

Always keep a flashlight, radio and extra batteries for operating. Water, snacks, pillows, blanket, sheet and many other important and necessary things to ride out the storm.

For the most part during a hurricane storm it can be boring being in one place for quite sometime, but with all the necessary essentials it's possible to make it fun for all involved.
